Hello from IQID!

Hello from IQID!

When IQID (fka Accelerated Equity Insights) started in 2021, we hoped to remove some of the racialized barriers in the path to college by identifying and measuring unconscious bias in admissions. We were unapologetic about our commitment to diversity and hoped to change admissions practices to that end. In September 2024, IQID pivoted to supporting financial aid teams, and now it's clear that the current political climate would have fatally harmed colleges' ability to work with IQID in our previous iteration.

Here's the truth: admissions and "getting into college" isn't a challenge for most students and most institutions. For the vast majority of students, the cost of attendance is the ultimate roadblock to higher education. IQID's workflow products for financial aid officers will allow FAOs to focus on the work that gets students and universities funds faster. By supporting financial aid professionals, the result will be college communities that reflect our nation's vast diversity.

I'm very grateful that others see it this way, too. One education leader said, "By improving the financial aid experience, you are helping more people go to college but especially historically excluded students." Another shared, "This tool empowers students by quickly giving them useful information to move forward towards college."

IQID remains unapologetic in our commitment to removing barriers to post-secondary education, especially for students who have been systemically kept from this life-changing opportunity. We are thankful for your support in this work.
